The terms.
Plain language, because nobody reads the other kind. These cover using this site, and what you may and may not do with anything you buy here.

Who you are dealing with
This site and the products sold on it are operated by Max Loew Media. Questions go to max@maxloewphoto.com.
What you get when you buy a preset pack
Buying GRADE by Max Loew and any other preset pack, LUT, guide, or downloadable file sold here gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use those files. That licence is deliberately generous about the work you make with them:
- →Use them on your own photographs, personal or commercial, including paid client work, with no royalty and no credit required.
- →Install them on the machines and mobile devices you personally use.
- →Modify them and build your own looks on top of them.
Sharing and piracy
You are buying a licence to use the files. You are not buying the files themselves, and ownership of them stays with Max Loew Media. The licence covers you. It does not cover anyone you hand a copy to.
Do not do any of the following with the preset files:
- ✕Share, send, upload, or give them to anyone else, including friends, colleagues, and other photographers.
- ✕Post them anywhere publicly or privately: a cloud drive, a forum, a Discord, a Telegram or WhatsApp group, a torrent, a file locker, or a comment section.
- ✕Resell them, sublicense them, or include them with anything you sell.
- ✕Repackage, rename, re-export, or recolour them and pass the result off as your own pack, free or paid.
- ✕Use one purchase across a studio, team, or agency. A licence is per person.
- ✕Use the files, or images made solely to showcase them, to train a machine learning model.
To be clear about the one that matters most: making your own pack out of these, or out of edits derived from these, is not a grey area. The looks took years of paid client work to build and they are the product this business runs on.
What happens if you do
Breaching the licence ends it immediately, with no refund, and you must delete every copy you hold. Download access for the order is revoked at the same time.
Where files are posted publicly, takedown notices will be filed with the host and, where the loss justifies it, the matter pursued further. If you have already shared a copy, email max@maxloewphoto.com and sort it out directly. That conversation always goes better than the alternative.
If someone sent you these files rather than you buying them, you do not have a licence to use them. Buy a copy and you are square.
Payment, delivery and refunds
Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They take the payment and remit any sales tax, VAT or GST. Files are delivered by download link immediately after payment clears.
All sales are final on digital downloads. The full position, including the cases where a refund is still issued, is on the refund policy page.
The photographs on this site
Every image, video and piece of writing here is copyright Max Loew Media or the client it was made for. Buying a preset pack gives you no rights to any of it. Do not reproduce, redistribute, or train a model on this work without written permission. For licensing, email max@maxloewphoto.com.
What is not promised
The presets are a starting point, not a one-click result. They are base edits meant to be adjusted per frame, and how they land depends on your camera, your light, and your exposure. No promise is made that a given look will suit a given photograph.
Products are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, Max Loew Media is not liable for lost work, lost income, or any indirect loss arising from using them, and any liability is limited to what you paid. Keep backups of your catalogue, as you would with any software.
Email you have opted into
Signing up to the list or downloading a free resource means you will get occasional email. Every message has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately. What is collected and who processes it is set out in the privacy policy.
Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows when they last were. The version in force is the one published when you bought. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without affecting consumer rights you hold where you live.
